What ^HW does
^HW asks the printer to send back a directory of the fonts, graphics and formats stored on a given drive, along with their sizes — the host-readable counterpart to the printed ^WD directory label.
Syntax
^HWd:o.xParameters
| Parameter | Description | Values | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
d:o.x | Drive and optional name filter (wildcards allowed) | — | — |
Example
^XA
^HWR:*.*
^XZPaste this into the free ZPL viewer to see it render, or convert it to PDF.
Notes & tips
- Returns the listing to the host, not to the printer.
- Use ^WD to print the same directory instead.
